JKLF chief Malik arrested in Srinagar, shifted to central jail

    Srinagar, Sep 1 : Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Mohammad Yaseen Malik was today arrested along with another leader and shifted to central Jail, official sources said.
    They said Malik and another front leader Bashir Ahmad Kashmiri, Zonal organiser, were arrested from JKLF office today.
    A spokesperson of the front, strongly condemning the arrest of Malik before Eid-ul-Azha tomorrow, said a police party raided the JKLF office and arrested Malik and Bashir.
    He said they were later shifted to central jail, Srinagar.
    However, before his arrest Malik told mediapersons that in the past detenues were being released from jail and other detention centres on the eve of Eid and other festivals.  (UNI)
