District Police are on job to know the facts of such incidents
Ganderbal: Like the victims, police too seems to be clueless as yet more two incidents of braid chopping was reported from Arhama a hilly area and Kujjar of Ganderbal district.
As per the reports available, the braid of a young girl 15, (name with held) was chopped under mysterious circumstances on Tuesday morning nearly 5:30 am while she was at their home in Arhama a hilly area of Lar Tehsil. The victim was found unconscious by her parents. Locals said as per the house owner, the suspect person jumped from the second floor of their house on Tuesday morning immediately after this incident.
Another incident as per the reports occurred in Kujjar last night where the people took to streets to demand of fallowing quick action regarding the braid-chopping of a ten-year-old girl (name with held).
Earlier similar two braid chopping incident was reported from Ganderbal, where two young girls were attacked by unknown assailants in Rabitar and Narayanbagh villages on late Sunday evening.
Meanwhile, the police and the administration are busy to find out the fact regarding these incidents but still seem to be helpless as these incidents continue to grow with every passing day.
Besides police, frightened women in their audio messages are approaching different social activists for seeking help into the matter.
The growing incidents of braid chopping is giving sleepless nights to people in Ganderbal and parts of Kashmir valley, who have appealed the government to take effective measures to nab the culprits as soon as possible, where police have announced a reward of lakhs and established dedicated helplines in all districts. Over number of incidents of braid chopping have been reported over the past month across the valley even as police yet to be reached on clue, the people appealed the district administration to take the grave matter seriously and nab the culprits as soon as possible.
