All educational institutions remain closed in valley

    Srinagar, Oct 12: All educational institutions remained closed on Thursday in the Kashmir valley, where separatist have urged students to hold protests in their respective institutions against braid chopping incidents.
    Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan has ordered closure of all government and private schools, colleges and other institutions in the valley as a precautionary measure.
    However, several Deputy Commissioners, including Anantnag, Pulwama and Baramulla issued separate orders closing all educational institutions.
    Majority educational institutions have started annual examinations in the Kashmir valley from Wednesday.
    The examinations which were scheduled to start from Monday could not be held due to strike, called by JRL against braid chopping.
