SKIMS Hold CME on Applications OF PET in Medical Practices

    SRINAGAR, OCT 26:  CME program on applications of PET in Medical Practice organized by department of Nuclear Medicine SKIMS was held today at SKIMS auditorium. Before the commissioning of PET CT at SKIMS which  will be dedicated to general public soon the program was aimed at sensitizing  major stake holders such as oncologists, neurologists etc.

    Director SKIMS and EOSG  Dr. A.G Ahangar  who was chief guest on the occasion said that PET CT which is in the last phase of installation will be commissioned soon to benefit poor patients. He also directed all departments to make optimum use of advanced equipment’s and hoped that CME will go in a long way to benefit the participants and stakeholders.

    Dr. Shoukat Hussain Khan HOD Nuclear Medicine and Organising Chairman in his welcome address gave detailed introduction on the subject delineating advantages and benefits for advanced treatment.

    Besides, Dean Medical Faculty, Dr. Rakesh Kumar  President ( Elect) Society of Nuclear Medicine of India & HOD Diagnostic Nuclear Medicine AIIMS also spoke on the occasion. The program was participated by Former Directors , Prof M.S Khuroo, Dr. Mehrajuddin, Dr. Showkat Ali Zargar and faculty from other national institutions of Country.
