SRINAGAR: Tral witnessed first ever football match which was played last week, in a local football stadium Nahir Tral, located on the top of this sub district, 4 kms from sub district headquarter.
The aspiring football players were trained very well by some sports professionals and later trails were also conducted, where dozens of players from different areas of Tral showed their brilliant performance.
While talking to this reporter , one of the coaches /experts namely Zahid Wani, said that , The match and trails were started at 10 am in the morning at Football stadium Nahir and ended at 3pm.
“It was very nice to see such a great and enthusiastic football players in our Tral. They really have good talent, which need to be polished by developing skills among them through practice ,” Zahid Wani said.
Locals also hailed this initiative and appreciated the coaches and experts for training their childrens in playing football game.
“We have first time seen the football matches being played in our Tral. It really gives us immense pleasure to see our youngsters in football stadiums now.” Fayaz Ahmad, a local resident, said.
“I think it is a major development in the history of sports in Tral and as a part of co-currricular activity, I hope that it will remain continue in future.” Fayaz said.
The players also love to enjoy this game as a lot of players were seen practicing full day in different places and uploading their pics with a football and it’s unfirorm, on social networking sites.
“Early in the morning, I use to go nearby stadium for practice along with my other friends, which make us fit to play more and more games ,” Kamil Kantroo, a player said.
However , coaches and some players expressed resentment against sports authorities and said stadiums here should be upgraded with good infrastructure facilities.
“We have grounds but there is a need to improve them with new facilities, so that each and every game will be played here without any inconvenience ,” One of the football players Haaris Bin Aadam , said.
“Starting football game in Tral is indeed a good platform for the new generation as through hardwork and practice , they may develop their skills very well from young age , which can help them to make their carrier in said game,” Kar Umar, one the top football players said.
Meanwhile, the people of Tral congratulated the coaches and experts for this initiative and wished them good luck and success in all the future endeavours.
It is noteworthy that apart from Football, Tral has already a great sporting talent as there is no dearth of good cricketers, volleyball players , Kho Kho , Baseball,Rugby and other players in the said sub district.
Pertinently, Most of the players including some females from here have played these games in national level and showed brilliant performances there as per the record.
