Yasin Malik detained, shifted to central Jail


    SRINAGAR, JAN 03 : Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Chief Yasin Malik was detained on Wednesday in Srinagar ahead of scheduled seminar at hyderpora on January 5.

    Sources said a posse of policemen arrived at the Abi Guzar office of Malik and took him into custody. They said Malik was later shifted to Srinagar Central Jail.  Malik’s arrest comes just hours after the house arrest of Hurriyat (M) Mirwaiz Umar Farooq. Reports said that several leaders of Hurriyat (G) were also detained.
