Barring Shopian, life returns to normal in Kashmir
Srinagar, Jan 27 : Life returned to normal after remaining crippled for a day due to strike in Kashmir valley called by separatists on Republic Day (RD).
However, business and other activities remained paralysed for the third successive day on Saturday in Shopian, where a youth was killed and two girls were injured in alleged security forces action against protestors near an encounter site at Chaigund Dairoo on Wednesday.
Two militants were killed in the encounter.
Shops and business establishments reopened and traffic was plying on all routes normally in the summer capital, Srinagar and adjoining areas since early this morning.
Work in government offices and banks also returned to normal.
