Srinagar, Apr 13 : The Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) while confirming the resignation of two ministers, Chowdary Lal Singh and Chander Prakash Ganga, said that the party legislature meeting will decide the fate of both the ministers tomorrow.
“State party president has received the resignation of both the ministers. Now the party legislators are meeting tomorrow to decide the fate of both the ministers” BJP state general secretary Ashok Koul told KNS over phone.
According to BJP sources, the resignation of the two ministers is likely to be accepted.
The resignation comes in the backdrop of outrage over their participation in a rally organised by Hindu Ekta Manch to support accused in Asifa rape-and-murder case.
Meanwhile sources told KNS that on the directions of BJP high command, National General Secretary Ram Madhav is visiting Jammu tomorrow. “ Madhav would chair the party meeting in Jammu tomorrow,” sources said. (KNS)
