Srinagar: Nation builders are forced to observe Eid as black day ,a sorry state of affairs. They are forced to come on roads which definitely affects the academic career of growing buds enrolled in these institutions. It is unfortunate that SSA teachers are without salary for last three months and are denied of 7th pay commission benefits. It was said in the central executive body, s meeting of All J& K Plus Two PSC Lecturers ‘ Association. They also urge the govt to resolve the issue of SSA teachers once for all so that the teachers may discharge their duties with dedication. They said that the academic career of poor students are at stake and the term examination is in hand. The indifferent attitude of the govt is very disappointing otherwise it could have been resolved very early. The members said that every experiment is applied only to Education department and teachers are the worst sufferers. They also said that SRO 202 is the living example of this partial and unrealistic approach. They further said that teachers were forced to went on strike during the holly month of Ramdanwhich shows pathetic and reckless attitude of the govt. The direct recruited lecturers in the meeting said that this is very panic to see their brothers going to observe Eid as black day. They appealed the govt to release the pending salary f all the months of SSA teachers before Eid.Theyasked the govt that how teachers can manage their domestic requirements of Eid without salary so govt should show some positivity because it is responsibility of the govt to pay its employees without any delay. The central executive members unanimously resolved in one voice that the association extend full support to SSA teachers and if the issue is not resolved lecturer association will join the protest because govt is hell bent to supress the genuine demands of the teaching community.Faisal Nayeem Parraythe president of the Association said that it is only teaching community which is supposed to perform extra duties of elections, surveys and other clerical assignments but are the worst sufferers. They are forced to come on roads to convince the govt for their genuine demands. The govt should seriously settle the issue of 40000 teachers whose kith and kinshave gone in depression so how can govt cease their fundamental rights.Howthose teachers can perform in the class and are expected to produce good results.It is a sort of exploitation,sheer injustice and apathy from the part of the govt,he further added. Mansoor Ahmed Khan vice president of the association also said that govt should lend ear to the genuine demand of the teaching community and said that it is only lecturer gazitted cadre where SRO 202 is applicable .He termed SRO 202 a black spot on the recruitment policy and asked the govt to revoke it.He also said that those who are at the helm of affairs are appealed to view it very seriously because it develops negative perception among the aspirants. Those who attended this meeting include M A katoch, Muhammad Shafi, KhursheedAalam, Syed Ishtiyaq, Irshad Ahmed Bhat,Mohdkaleem,ZafferBhat,Dr. Nazim, etc.
