Srinagar: A wreath laying ceremony of a police constable Zahoor Ahmad Baba son of Ali Mohammad Baba resident of Tailbal Srinagar, who died today while performing his duties, was held at District Police Lines Anantnag.
Among others who presented wreaths included DyCO IR11th Bn Shri Tejinder Singh, DySP Hqrs Shri Liyakat Ali Khan, DySP Shri Mohammad Abass, DySP DAR Shri Muzaffar Ahmad, 2iC CRPF 40BN Shri Rajesh Kumar and other police officers and jawans.
As has been reported that Zahoor Ahmad Baba fell unconscious at Khanabal point while performing his duty. He was shifted to hospital for treatment where doctors declared him brought dead.
The body of the deceased was handed over to his family members for last rites.
