Ensure victory of INC-NC Joint candidate G A Mir
Srinagar: Kick starting election campaign from Dooru Verinag today, District Congress Committee Anantnag held a joint meeting of prominent workers of INC & NC at Veerinag and Saidiwara.
The meeting was presided over by MLA Gulzar Ahmad Wani and attended by Senior District Leaders of the Party.
Addressing the meeting MLA Gulzar Ahmad Wani urged upon the party workers of INC & NC to gear up for the ensuing Lok Sabha Elections and ensure victory of Joint Candidate Mr. G.A. Mir with an overwhelming majority, for the fact victory of Congress candidate will be the victory of secular forces in the State.
He said that high time for the people to defeat the menace of RSS PDP combination, which is hell bent upon to divide people on religious and regional lines for the sake of power.
People have realized that the PDP BJP Coalition which is responsible for the agony and anguish of the people anguish and their vote to PDP and the day is not far when both Parties will be wiped out from the State, Wani said
He (Wani) reminded the people of betrayal and backstabbing on the part of PDP with their electorates during 2014 Assembly Elections, when PDP Secured votes to checkmate BJP RSS, but what happened after the results is known to people of valley and this time people will vote against anti-people and wrong policies of PDP BJP Coalition, which is fully responsible for the damages caused to life and property in the valley.
He said ruling dispensation has failed people in every respect, people have realized that they have been misled by PDP to serve its vested interests, but this time the situation is fairly different as there is a deep alienation among the people due to the betrayal by PDP, he felt confident that they (people) will defeat PDP for its anti-people polices in the Valley.
Congress Leaders described G.A. Mir as a leader of masses, who has always remained steadfast to serve the people to the best of his ability, they urged upon the people to vote for G.A. Mir and ensure his victory with a thumping majority.
Those who addressed the meeting included Mohd Iqbal Mir, Ali Mohd Mantoo, Mohd Iqbal Ahanger and others.
