KULGAM, MARCH 23: District Information Centre Kulgam in collaboration with Sheikh-ul-Alam foundation, today organized a Mehfil-e-Mushaira at Government Degree College Kulgam in which Deputy Commissioner Showket Aijaz Bhat was the chief guest.
The programme was presided over by prominent poet and writer Qatib-Ud-din Shakeel.
During the Mushaira Prof. Farooq Ahmad and many other eminent poets which includes Mohammad Yousuf Dilbar, Tanaha Ashmuji, Jhangir Ahmad Jhangir, Yousuf Gulshan, Gh. Hassan Irfan, Firdoos Nidha, Qatib-ud-din Shakeel, Abdul Ahad Babus, and Qamar Hamidullah recited their poetry which enthralled the audience.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC Kulgam hailed the organizers for conducting such programmes and said that the district administration shall provide every possible assistance in future for promotion of literary activities in the district.
Principal Govt degrees college Kulgam, and members from media fraternity and also a good number of students were present on the occasion.
