Bandipora shines again, Adnan bags gold in Taekwondo at Thailand

Srinagar: Shiekh Adnan, a 15-year old boy has emerged as yet another young star from North Kashmir’s Bandipora district after winning a gold medal in the princesses cup international Championship which was held at the University of Bangkong Thailand.
Adnan got gold medal during the 13th AU Taekwondo International Championship Princess’s Cup which was held from 25 to 27th March at university of Thailand.
He dedicated his gold medal to his parents and his coaches from standing with him and encouraging him every time.
While talking with Chairman and coach of Adnan who runs Ali Sports Academy he said the Adnan was my senior most student he worked hard and also we train him as we are training other students and with the help of his hardworking he got gold medal. When asked about is there need of any further development in your Academy as we have seen your Academy is on top for training the boy and girls in sports activities, he said there is much need of development like in infrastructure , better facilities for training students and much needed is indoor stadium.
Adnan had emerged third student from Ali sports Academy who have won gold medal after Tajamul Islam, Hashim Mansoor and now Sheikh Adnan. Adnan who is in Thailand has posted his message on social networking site Facebook .
This is what Adnan said in his Facebook post after winning gold medal.
“with the grace of Almighty Allah. today I won gold medal in international Taekwondo princess cup Thailand. its is only due my parents support and prayers. I am very much thankfully to my coach Faisal sir and Irshad Sir that they had given me tough task in order to get medal. I also want to Mention and Thank to Ajaz rasool mir international coach . he guided me in every fight how to overcome the scores. His tactics are great.
I fought with Indonesia,Philippines and Ethiopia “.
Adnan, has won three consecutive fights beating Indonesia , Philipines, and Ethopia.
It is pertinently to mention here that before Adnan an eight-year-old girl from Bandipora, Tajamul Islam had also won Gold at the World Kickboxing Championship and Hashim Manzoor at Delhi in Karate Championship.
