Anti-militancy operations only alienate people in Kashmir: Prem Shankar Jha
New Delhi: Reacting to the killing of three civilians in Kashmir Valley, renowned Columnist and Indian Civil Society member, Prem Shankar Jha Wednesday said that anti-militancy operations in Kashmir will further alienate people and it could have serious ramifications.
“I deeply regret the civilian killings in Kashmir. The policies that are being adopted in Kashmir will not bring peace. Any anti-militant operation will only annoy people,” Jha told CNS over phone from New Delhi.
He said that time has come Government of India reviews its Kashmir policy as the current policy has failed to bring peace and order in Valley. “What Government of India has been doing at the moment, will only result in bloodbath. Things need to be reversed and people languishing in jails should be released,” he said.
