Kashmiri fast bowler impresses Sehwag, Amla, Maxell, Marsh in Bangaluru
SRINAGAR: A young fast bowler from Kashmir, Mehjoor Ali Sofi impressed cricket’s whose who during a net practice session of King’s XI Punjab at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore.
He bowled to the renowned international batsmen including Hasim Amla, Glem Maxell, Martin Guptill and Virender Sehwag.
Ali is in Bengaluru, where King’s XI Punjab’s assistant coach and Jammu and Kashmir captain-cum-mentor Mithun Manhas provided him a chance to bowl for batsmen of his team during practice session on net.
Mehjoor Ali, while talking to Kashmir Age, Correspondent said that his bowling spell has impressed cricket starts like Virender Sehwag, Hasima Amla, Martin Guptill, Shan Marsh and Glem Maxell. “Sehwag sir was highly impressed with my performance,” Ali told this Correspondent, adding they appreciated and encouraged his efforts.
While sharing his experience, Mehjoor Ali said Virender Sehwag called him to the dressing room and had a long chat with him. “Sehwag sir told me be positive, work hard that would help me in longer run,”Mehjoor Ali said.
