Er Rashid condemns use of force against students at Handwara

SRINAGAR: AIP Supremo and MLA Langate Er. Rasheed has condemned use of force against students at Degree College Handwara today.

Rashid appealed Jammu & Kashmir police not to use brutal force against their own people and understand that J&K is a dispute not a law and order problem.

In a statement issued, Er. Rasheed said: “JKP cannot always run away by arguing that they have no option but to use force, as they are Govt. servants. They must understand that court of conscience is much bigger than any other court and by pitching them against their own people New Delhi is virtually ensuring a domestic war between Kashmiris. It is high time for the cops of J&K Police to defy those orders which bring them shame every day and they even feel scared from visiting their homes despite being sons of the soil.

Let the cops introspect that before accusing militants, stone palters and common masses of being hostile towards local police, why should they expect respect unless they don’t earn it”. Er. Rasheed appealed local cops to revisit their policy and understand that the students taking to streets need nothing but for a durable and sustainable peace want just right to self-determination for the people of state.
