Students clash with forces in Srinagar, Hajin
SRINAGAR: The students of Gandhi Memorial College Srinagar and MPML higher secondary school Baba Demb clashes with security forces outside the college premises after they started marching on the main road demanding the release of their colleague who was arrested yesterday during the clashes.
Reports said that the protesting students raised massive anti-India and pro-freedom slogans. Reports said that as soon as the students took to main road, security forces deployed there intercepted the protesters triggering clashes.
Police used tear smoke, pepper gas to disperse the protesting students who were pelting stones on the forces.
Meanwhile in Hajin area of Bandipora district students’ of Higher Secondary School Hajin, MD School Hajin and Govt Middle School Hajin took to streets against the arrests of youth.
The protesting students were raising pro-freedom and anti-India slogans. The students clashed with forces which led to the closure of the town.
