Drug Addiction will be erased at grassroot level: DC

SOPORE: A public Grievance camp was today held under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner, Baramulla Dr.Nasir Ahmad Naqash at Dak Banglow  Sopore.

 Additional Deputy Commissioner Sopore, SSP,Sopore,JDP,Executive Engineers of PHE, power Development Department and R&B, officers of various departments ,Traders Federation representatives, civil society sopore,Mohalla Presidents  and the huge public gathering was present on the occasion .

The main agenda  of the Awami Darbar remained on the issues related to Health, services, Electricity ,water supply, Traffic management and  repairs of Roads besides the issue of food supply and home delivery  of LPG  supply was also highlighted by the civil society members.

 Moreover the people appraised the issue of drug addiction and stressed upon cubing of it at an earliest. The DDC assured that every step will be taken in erasing this menace. Meanwhile they demanded the setting of a bus stand in the area and said that it will smooth the traffic management and will get rid from traffic congestion.

Various civil society members and Senior citizens highlighting the main problems of the people of the Sopore  Town and areas during their speeches, however ,they sought proper ,effective and timely action of the administration in solving of their  problems .The DDC listened to their problems carefully and noted them down for immediate action. Meanwhile the people of the area demanded enrollment of ADHAAR wherein the DDC said that ADHAAR cards will be generated shortly.

The DDC on the occasion stressed upon the officers to provide basic facilities to the people of sopore area. He said that District administration is committed to provide every facility to the people of the district. He said that full support will be provided to the unemployed youth of the area for promoting their welfare .DC said that government has lunched various schemes and programmes for the people and they should come forward and take the benefits of the development programme and schemes .Meanwhile the president of Traders Federation expressed his gratitude for organizing the camp in the area and appreciated for installation street lights in the town.
