SRINAGAR: : Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee Vice President and MLA Inderwal GM Saroori today hit out at PDP and Finance minister Haseeb Drabu for for failing to safeguard special status of the state and held PDP responsible for the bloodshed in the state .
Today in a statement GM Saroori said that PDP betrayed People by implementing GST in current form .He said by calling all party meeting or to call a special session of assembly under Act 101 to implement GST law in the state was all drama to befool people of the state .
GM Saroori said that congress is not against implementing of the GST act but is against the GST Implemented in the current form as it eroded special status of the state . He said to implement GST in this special state government had to make amendment under section 246 A in parliament and then had to form a commission after that under article 370 government should had produced bill in the assembly but instead the finance minister and PDP played drama to befool people brought resolution in the assembly for the sake of their government.
He said by implementing GST in the state neither section 5 nor physical autonomy and nor Article 370 was taken under consideration and all rules were violated on the direction from Nagpur.
He said in the assembly i asked government that a resolution to safeguard the bill be passed in the assembly to exempt Tourism, Handicrafts, Industries , Horticulture ,Hotel industry and agriculture from GST and states own GST bill be made under which all taxes will be collected for the safeguard of Article 370 but they (PDP) didn’t accept it, In previous Congress, NC government it was done when article 73rd and 74th amendment was incorporated neither physical autonomy nor Article 370 was affected .
He said after getting exposed PDP finance minister is issuing wrong statements to befool people of the state. He further cautioned PDP to stop killings and stop betraying people of the state otherwise consequences will be tough as people are fed Up of the present Government .
