Hajipur: At least nine people were killed and about four injured in a head-on-collision between an auto-rickshaw and a speeding bus on National Highway 77 (Muzaffarpur-Hajipur road) in Vaishali district today.
Police said here that the accident took place when the bus hit the auto-rickshaw after its driver lost control over his vehicle due to high speed near Purani Sarai Bazar.
The auto rickshaw overturned under the impact of collision, killing nine on the spot.
Four other occupants of the auto rickshaw also sustained injuries in the collision.
The injured had been admitted to a nearby hospital. (UNI)
