Cong rebuffs Govt claim of improvement in J&K situation
New Delhi: Repudiating the claim by the government of an improvement in the situation in Jammu and Kashmir, the Congress today called upon the Centre to take the nation into confidence about the real situation and disclose what it is doing to bring about normalcy in the state.

In a joint statement to reporters, senior Congress leaders P Chidambaram and Ghulam Nabi Azad said there was continuing violence in the state of Jammu and Kashmir.
‘Almost everyday, soldiers are being killed, common people are dying and hundreds are being injured.
So, the government is misleading the people of the country by claiming that there has been an improvement in the situation,’ they said. (UNI)
