Small batch of 132 Amarnath pilgrims leave from Jammu, last batch to leave tomorrow
JAMMU: A small batch of 132 Shri Amarnath pilgrims today left from Yatri Niwas base camp here for the holy cave shrine in South Kashmir.
Chanting ‘bam bam bhole’, the pilgrims, comprising 113 males and 19 females, left in a cavalcade of five vehicles early this morning.
The pilgrims left for Pahalgam and Baltal to perform the pilgrimage in five vehicles including three Light Motor Vehicles and two buses.
‘’The Yatra is smoothly heading on the highway,” a police official here said.
Meanwhile Inspector General of Police Jammu Zone S D Singh Jamwal said that last batch of pilgrims will leave tomorrow from the base camp here. (UNI)
