Voting to elect next Vice-President begins
New Delhi: The voting process for the election to the office of the Vice-President of the country got underway here today.
According to Election Commission schedule, the polling which started at 1000 hrs, will end at 1700 hrs.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi was among the early voters.
Among others NDA nominee M Venkaiah Naidu, also a Rajya Sabha member, came to exercise his voting right.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ananth Kumar, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who is still a member of Lok Sabha, several Union Ministers, Congress MP Jairam Ramesh, Trinamool leader Dinesh Trivedi and Nominated Rajya Sabha MP and noted boxer Mary Kom were also present to to exercise their right.
