Sopore shuts against the killing of local Let militant
SOPORE: A complete shutdown is being observed in Sopore town of barmulla district on Saturday to mourn the death of a local LeT militant.
Danish Showket Dar of Bhatpora sopore was affiliated with pakistni based Lashker-e toiba militant outfit who was killed along with his two associates Javeed Ahmed Dar of Khanpora Baramulla and Abid Hameed Mir of Hajjin Bandipora in a brief gunfight with government forces at Amargrah area of sopore on early saturday.
All the shops and business establishments are closed while public transport is thin on the roads.
Even today the local people were seen walking towards Bhatpora Martyrs graveyard to pay the Fatew-i-khawani to 19 year old slain Danish on his graveyard.
Meanwhile reports reaching that moderate shutdown is being witnessed in baramulla town to mourn the killing of slain Javeed of Khanpora.
According to reports parts of Hajjin also shuts on consecutive second day to mourn the killing of slain 2nd year student.
However authorities suspended classwork in Boys college, higher secondary in both Baramulla and Sopore including girls higher secondary in twin towns as a precautionary measure to maintain law and order
