Gulmarg: A day long awareness programme on Goods and Services Tax (GST) was today organized at Hotel Hilltop Gulmarg in which huge gathering of Hoteliers and traders participated. Programme was organized by Commercial Tax Department circle Baramulla during which experts from commercial taxes department spoke about GST. The speakers highlighted various aspects of the GST. They stressed upon the stakeholders to opt for the GST so as to yield the benefits. Moreover emphasis was laid on awareness dissemination among the Hoteliers and traders so that every misconception about the law is eliminated.
Meanwhile a healthy question and answer session was also held wherein the audience raised different questions on the topic and got their answers from the experts present.
Assistant Commissioner Commercial Tax Hameeda Akhter,,CTO Parvaiz Ganai , Majeed-ul-Islam, Zahoor Bhat, Mohidin Malik, Aijaz Wani and Insp Aijaz Wani were present on the occasion who delivered lectures on GST.
