“My hope of the future lies in the youth of character, intelligent, renouncing all for the service of and the country at large”. This was the vision of great youth icon Swami Vivikanand (Whose Birth youth icon, every year is celebrated as our national youth day) that reflects his faith in the youth power. Youth Of any country are regarded as architect of that very nation as they have got creative energy and positive potential to take their nation to the epiton of development if this infinite energy is chamalised in a right way. Demographically today’s Kashmiris is at its youngest best and has the power to meet any challenge with the collective consciousness and effect of all people especically young people.
In human creativity is a special quality then the “Never say die” spirit is its apex. So the future of a nation lies in the hands of its posterity and to ensure a bright future. We first need to strengthen and empower our youth. They should be encouraged in their quest for justice for common benefit and to be made responsible. It is the youth which makes a nation feel proud and has power to bring revolution. Our heroes like Baghat Singh and Azad who did it hesitated in laying their lives for their country and even today’s heroes like Sachin Tendulkar, Sania Mirza, Sakshi Malik etc are the glittering examples of youth power. If harnessed in right direction this powerhouse can work wonders for the country.
But coin has another side too misdirected youth could prove to be disastrous instead of doing wonders mislead youth could indulged in all sorts of heinous crimes becoming terrorists and resorting to other malpractice. This is because the youth is either not bring guided or bring positively misguided by adults for their own interests striking example could be sighted from jammu and kashmir where the youth are been mislead by some trouble causers. Another striking example is of Punjab which has turned into land of drug addicts opposite to its history of being the lands of martayers. So the need is to harness this potential energy into right direction and that is best possible only through quality education. Education should be such that could individuals made them logical open minded responsible, compassionate, honest and patriotic. They should be provided with more and more constructive opportunities in the form of employment.
So, the need is to channalise this youth power into constructive power to accomplish impossible. Even Hitler once quoted, “He alone who owns the youth gains the future”. But the need is bright and shining future. We need the unique power of young people to achieve the Global Goals. Today’s young people are optimistic that these Global Goals can be achieved. They have to be. They are the ‘Peak Youth’ generation who make up the majority of the world’s population. They are the generation that stands the best chance of making these Global Goals happen. They are the generation most affected if the Global Goals fail. But the Global Goals will stay promises unless young people are making sure those promises are kept. Youth have a right to ask how, when, and by who these ambitious Global Goals will be delivered.
Young people being able to ask those questions and being able to turn the answers into action is how promises on paper become real changes for all of us. Governments, businesses, NGOs, and the rest of us all must get behind them because young people are our best chance of keeping these promises to ourselves. As the youth-led international development agency, Restless Development has seen that when young people can use their power to make sure promises are kept, everyone benefits. We know what youth power looks like when it is done well, and how necessary it is for positive change in the world, and so our new global campaign is to support young people around the world to make it happen. The promises that have just been made by leaders in the Global Goals mean a world without poverty, inequality and climate change is within our reach.
Youth Power is our campaign to support young people to turn those promises into reality. The role of youth is of most importance in today’s time. It has underplayed itself in field of politics. It should become aspiring entrepreneur rather than mere workers. It can play a vital role in elimination of terrorism. Young participation is important because youth are the country’s power. Youth recognize problems and can solve them. Youth are strong forces in social movements. They educate children about their rights. They help other young people attain a higher level of Intellectual ability and to become qualified adults.
Unfortunately no one is bothered to dream any s vision. .Lack of unity and spirit is the major set back . Its time The youth, the students have to realize their power , their role, their duties and their responsibility and stand up for their rights. Now its time that instead of brain drain we should act like magnets and attract world towards ourselves as everybody knows that what is happening in the jammu and kashmir since long but no good results have been get. I think it is better to read and write not only for their own but for the whole world. Because education is the only weapon which can change the whole world and helps us to enable understand the Creation and the Creator of the whole world.
In conclusion having said that I would make an important point here that the country or any state can become a developed nation only if everyone contributes to the best of his or her capacity and ability. Youth is wholly experimental and with the full utilization of the talents of the Youth, our nation will become a complete Nation. Let us hope for the same. ‘Youth is like a fire, It crept forward. A Spark at first,.Growing into a flame. The brightening into a Blaze’. As we know day in and day out we get to see students everywhere are now fighting, curling with security forces but no good results were get from anywhere. Only the innocent killing. Is there any benefit from that way. Now everybody is requested not to fight with security forces who are sacrificing there lives for us…….
