Govt Employee Unions Under LPEF Held meeting at Sonamarg, demanding to resolve all pending issues
Ganderbal, (KPS): Accusing the State Govt and Concerned Authorities for showing non seriousness towards their genuine and long pending issues, The Govt Employee Union under the banner of JK Low Paid Employees Federation (JKLPEF) held an important meeting at Sonamarg in Central Ganderbal.
The meeting was presided by J&KLPEF president Ab. Majeed Khan in which Vice president Mir Ghulam Rasool Wajpori, General secretary Mohd. Jamaal, Chief organiser Mohammad Shaban Bhat, President of Sonamarg Development authority Mushtaq Ahmad Lone(Shutkadi) and all body members, employees and casual labours were participated.
Speaking on the occasion, Imtiyaz Hissain Rahi lambast the State Govt for ignoring all the Govt Employees particularly low paid employees added that from time to time wages have not been paid to Daily Wagers and other employees due to which they are now at the stage of starvation.
Meanwhile Nazir Ahmad Mir raised the other issues which includes enhancement of medical allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 1000 per month, release of salaries of all need based and daily wagers, implementation of 7th pay commission.
Bashir Ahmad Mir and Manzoor Ahmad Rather also put forth the issues and problems faced by employees and other Daily wagers casual labours of SDA, Anganwadi workers, Namberdars and others as well i.e pending wages and regularisation of casual labour’s engaged in different departments.
“The Government must come clear on the regularisation policy for casual labours and pace up the process for regularisation of thousands of casual labourers who are working in various departments,” said Mushtaq Ahmad Lone (Shutkadi) president of SDA.
“We want to ask the government why this injustice with us? due to which we are now at the stage of starvation,” he said.
“The previous as well as present government has principally agreed to meet our demands and frame a regularization policy of SDA but despite that the government has miserably failed to fulfil this promise till date,” Abdul Rashid Bhat said.
Among others who addressed the gathering included Farooq Ahmad Khan, Shabir Ahmad Mir, Abdul Rashid Bhat and others were present on this occasion.
