One held on cyber crime charges

Hyderabad, Sep 23 : Cyber Cell sleuths of Rachakonda Commissionerate have arrested a private employee hailing from Bidar in Karnataka for hacking e-mail and facebook accounts of the victim there by intimidating to post morphed images in social media.
On credible information, Police arrested Veeresh Khanapure (29) , a private employee at his residence in Akkamahadevi Colony, Bidar yesterday for the crime, police said.
A complaint was lodged by the victim on September 14 which stated that, his e-mail id was hacked on September 5 by unknown person. The hacker copied his photos and contacts. On September 7, he greeted the complainant and told him to tell his fiancé to attend his call or else face consequences. He copied the contents such as photos and documents by hacking his email and facebook account and created fake facebook ID in the name of the victim and posted the content as if the victim is posting the content. The messages were sent to the contacts of the victim via social media through fake e-mail and facebook accounts.  (UNI)
