Madurai, Sept 24 : Five members of a family allegedly committed suicide on Sunday night at Yahappa Nagar, here .
Police said “Kurinji” Kumaran, a businessman and seven members of his family consumed pesticide. While five of them died, three others were battling for life at the Government Rajaji Hospital.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the entire family took the extreme step owing to huge loss in the business. Further investigations were on. (UNI)
