Train services suspended again in valley for security reason
Srinagar, Sept 27 : Train services were again suspended today in the Kashmir valley for security reasons though there was no call for any strike or protests, causing inconvenience to thousands of daily passengers.
Train services had resumed yesterday after remaining suspended on September 25, when there was strike called by traders and transporters, supported by separatists in protest against summoning more people by National Investigation Agency (NIA) in connection with funding row.
‘We have again suspended all train runs in the Kashmir valley today,’ a senior railway official said.
He said a fresh advisory was received late last night from the police to suspend the train services in the valley for security reasons.
Therefore, he said, train run between Srinagar-Budgam in the central Kashmir to Baramulla in north would remain suspended today. (UNI)
