Shutdown, protests in parts of valley against fresh braids’ chopping
Srinagar, Oct 19: Shutdown and protests were held in some parts of Kashmir valley, where three fresh braid chopping incidents were reported even as the state High Court (HC) about a week ago directed police to intensify patrolling and adopt the technique of crime mapping to curtail such incidents.
Police has come under severe criticism for not being able to make a breakthrough in braid chopping incidents in Kashmir, where over 100 such cases have been reported in over a month, creating a fear psychosis among the locals.
