Use minimum force during controlling agitating crowds: Gov to CRPF
Srinagar: Reiterating his concern about the need for use of minimum force, Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra on Thursday said that care should be taken to ensure against fatalities while controlling agitating crowds in the state.
An official spokesman said here this evening that Inspector General of Police (Operations) CRPF Zulifquar Hassan called on Mr Vohra at Raj Bhavan here today.
Hassan briefed the Governor about certain issues relating to the CRPF’s role and responsibility and the outcomes achieved in the past year.
Governor complimented Mr Hassan, and all his officers and men, for the difficult tasks being handled by the CRPF, in close coordination with all other Security Forces.
However, Mr Vohra reiterated his concern about the need for minimum force being used and care being taken to ensure against fatalities while controlling agitating crowds.
