DDC Ganderbal inaugurates three day long district level exhibition

Ganderbal,Nov 06: Three Day long Exhibition organized by Khadi and Village Industries Board in the premises of Mini Secretariat, DC Office Complex Ganderbal started here today. The first day of exhibition here is going on in full swing and having great response from the people.

The exhibition was inaugurated by District Development Commissioner Ganderbal, Dr. Piyush Singla while Mtr. Masarat Kar, Hon’ble member of J&K KVIB, Deputy Chief Executive Officer J&K KVIB, Muzzaffar Allaqaband, District Officer KVIB, Mehraj-ud-din Farooqi were also present.

The DDC visited various stalls which displayed a variety of Khadi items. He was informed that 10 stalls have been installed in the three day long exhibition.

Speaking on the occasion, the DDC Ganderbal assured the stake holders and unemployed youth that their cases shall be sponsored to banks without any problem and under single window system. The DDC informed that the venue was decided keeping in view the footfall to provide good chance to the stall holders to sell their products under Khadi and Village industries

The DDC also called upon the department to ensure that reach of the scheme is widened through special efforts to include people from backward areas. He also instructed KVIB to organize such programs in future and also in rural areas too in order to generate awareness among the masses regarding various employment generating schemes.

In this connection the Board member informed that KVIB will organize such programmes in future also, in other districts. The main objective of organizing of the events is to provide marketing avenues to the artisans/ unitholders financed by the board under khadi and PMEGP.
