Hyderabad, Nov 7 : The question hour in the Telangana Assembly was marred today when the BJP members raised slogans protesting the preventive arrest of the party cadres who were on their way to join the “Chalo Assembly” agitation.
The BJP and its youth wing BJYM gave the “Chalo Assembly” call demanding that the government should create jobs for the unemployed youth.
In view of the “Chalo Assembly”, police beefed up security in and around the Assembly complex.
Mr K Laxman Senior BJP member raising the issue in the house took exception to the government’s move to arrest the party workers, adding that despite the government’s efforts to prevent the protest, the BJP was firm on making the “Chalo Assembly” a success.
Stating that there were many job vacancies in the government, he demanded a white paper on the government’s efforts to fill up the vacancies.
