SC to hear on Delhi govt plea on its power Wednesday

New Delhi, Nov 7 :The Supreme Court will continue on Wednesday hearing on the appeal filed by the Delhi government challenging a Delhi High Court order which said that the Lieutenant Governor is the administrative head of the city-state.

Gopal Subramaniam, appearing for the Delhi government, told the five-judge Constitution bench headed by Chief Justice Dipak Misra that the LG’s action must be reasonable.

“The LGs actions must be ‘reasonable’. There needs to be an adjective before ‘reasonable,” Gopal told the bench.
