GANDERBAL, NOV 7: Additional Deputy Commissioner, Ganderbal, Syed Shahnawaz Bukhari, chaired a training programme in order to review the Special Summary Revision of Electoral Roll 2018.
The training programme was attended by all ERO’s/AERO’s, Supervisors and BLO’s.
Various agenda points including maximization of registration of eligible voters, removal of entries of Dead and permanently shifted Electors, Correction of errors in elector’s details in all languages of ERs, Obtaining Family details, Contact details, GIS Coordinates (With Smartphone’s) to provide better Electoral Services, Identifying Overseas electors/un enrolled Indian Citizen living abroad, Conduct of BLO field verification of Forms received during SSR 2018 in an objective way, Obtaining information about Polling Stations (PS) etc. were discussed threadbare.
Various issues including implementation of the schedule, issuance of notice, receipt of claims and objections, submission of weekly progress report, preparation of format 01-08, performance report of BLOs, details of funds released to the BLOs on account of EPICs besides liabilities and ban on transfer of the officers/officials engaged with the process till completion of the revision were also discussed.
On the occasion ADC Ganderbal stressed for implementation of the guidelines of ECI in letter and spirit. He said that 100% percent enrollment of the voters in the district should be made so that every eligible voter can get his democratic right.
