Srinagar, Nov 20 : One Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) militant was killed in an encounter with security forces in the forest area at Tral in south Kashmir district of Pulwama.
Army sources said that following specific information about presence of militants in Sheer forest area at Tral, a joint search operation was launched by 42 Rashtriya Rifles (RR), Special Operations Group (SOG) of state police and CRPF in the area.
When security forces were moving toward a particular area, militants hiding there, fired at them with automatic weapons.
