Anantnag, Nov 30: Jammu and Kashmir police arrested an alleged drug peddler after recovering 45 kilograms of poppy straw popularly known as Fukki from his house at Hangal Pawan-Aishmuqam last night, police said.
Acting on a specific information, a police party from Police Station Aishmuqam raided the house of Mohammad Aqib Itoo, son of Nazir Ahmad Itoo and recovered the contraband from his house. Itoo was arrested on the spot, the police said.
A case (FIR No 48/2017) under section 8/15 NDPS Act has been registered in this regard and further investigation has been taken up. (Kashmir Wire)
