Sopore, Nov 30: A militant was killed and a security personnel injured in an ongoing gunfight at Sagi Pora in Sopore , 50 kms from here in north Kashmir.
The encounter started when militants opened fire on the security personnel who launched a house to house search operation in the village following a tip off regarding presence of militants there.
Army sources said one militants has been killed but the body has not been recovered yet. “We believe more militants are inside”, they said.
A security personnel was injured in the initial firing of the militants and the operation is still going on. (Kashmir Wire).
