Rail service in Kulgam suspended for security reasons

Srinagar, Dec 5 : All train runs have been suspended on Tuesday for security reasons in south Kashmir, where three Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) militants, including a  Divisional Commander, were killed and another was captured alive in an injured condition in Kulgam.

However, trains will chug in north Kashmir as per schedule, a senior railway official said.

He said all train runs from Budgam-Srinagar in central Kashmir to Banihal in Jammu region through Pulwama, Anantnag and Qazigund in south Kashmir will remain suspended today for security reasons.
