Srinagar: Thousands of people on Tuesday attended the funeral prayers of LeT militant Yawar Bashir of in Hablish village of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district, sources said.
Reports said that the body of Yawar alias Ayaan was draped in a green flag as it was marched through the village amid pro-Pakistan and pro-freedom slogans.
Yawar was killed in a gunfight that erupted after militants attacked an Army patrol on the Jammu-Srinagar highway in Bounigam area of Qazigund yesterday.
