UAE forms new military-eco partnership with Saudi Arabia
Abu Dhabi, Dec 5 ; The United Arab Emirates said on Tuesday it has formed a new “joint cooperation committee” with Saudi Arabia to partner on economic and military issues, separate from the Gulf Cooperation Council.
The Emirati Foreign Ministry made the announcement saying it was approved by the UAE’s ruler and president, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nayhan.
According to the statement, the new committee “is assigned to cooperate and coordinate between the UAE and Saudi Arabia in all military, political, economic, trade and cultural fields, as well as others, in the interest of the two countries”.
