Expelled veteran BJP tribal leader floats new party
Agartala, Dec 12 : The BJP state committee today expelled veteran tribal leader Parikshit Debbarma on the charge of anti-party activities, the party said here today in a statement.
Earlier, he had expressed willingness to resign from all posts of the party on December 8 last when BJP began investigation into the allegations.
However, Debbarma denied the allegations and stated that he had been facing differences with the party activities.
“Actually the party was surrounded with issues and I questioned the party members about the same, and, therefore, I sought to be relieved from all responsibilities.
But the leaders expelled me because of raising questions, which they considered anti-party activities,” Debbarma said. (UNI)
