Srinagar, Dec 13: The Enforcement Directorate today issued notice to the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference (G) Syed Ali Shah Geelani in money laundering case.
Geelani has been asked to appear before the Enforcement Directorate on December 18.“Geelani Sahib has received the notice and supposed to present himself before the Enforcement Directorate on December 18”, hurriyat sources said.
Earlier, Geelani’s son, Nayeem Geelani was also summoned by the enforcement directorate but was let off after questioning.
President of Democratic Freedom Party, Shabir Ahmad Shah and Mohammad Aslam Wani are lodged in Delhi’s Tihar Jail after they were arrested by the ED in money launder case.
Others who were arrested on similar charges but summoned by National Investigation Agency (NIA) include President of National Front Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Mohammad Altaf Shah alias Fantoosh, Shahidul Islam, Ayaz Akbar and Syed Shahid Yousuf , son of Hizbul Mujahideen Supremo Syed Salahuddin. and Farooq Ahmad Dar alias “Bita Karate.”
