Train service suspended in valley
Srinagar, Dec 15 :Train service has been suspended on Friday for security reasons in the Kashmir valley, where separatists had decided to hold a rally in Anantnag in south Kashmir today.
We have suspended all train runs in the Kashmir valley for security reasons following advisory from the police, a railway official said.
He said no train will chug on Srinagar-Budgam in the central Kashmir to Baramulla in north. Similarly no train will run on Srinagar-Anantnag-Qazigund in south Kashmir and Banihal in Jammu region. Hundreds of passengers, who had arrived at different railway stations, were disappointed after they were informed that all train runs have been cancelled today.
