Civilian killing: Life remains affected in parts of Kupwara for day 3

Srinagar, Dec 19 : Normal life remained affected for the third successive day on Tuesday in parts of frontier Kashmir district of Kupwara, where massive protests erupted on Sunday against killing of a driver in alleged security force firing.

Majority of the shop and business establishments remained closed and traffic was off the roads at Kralpora and adjoining areas in Kupwara to protest the killing of a civilian driver, despite the government ordering a magisterial probe into the incident.
But, some private vehicles could be seen plying on few routes.

The people alleged that the probe will not reach to any conclusion like hundreds of inquiries ordered in the past in similar cases.

Deputy Commissioner, Kupwara Khalid Jehangir said that he has ordered an inquiry into the incident.
