Srinagar, Dec 19 : A police station in the central Kashmir district of Badgam was damaged in a devastating fire on Tuesday morning, official sources said.
They said fire broke out in the three storied building of the police station at Beerwah in Badgam district in the wee hours at 0330 hrs on Tuesday.
However, before the fire tenders could douse the leaping flames, visible in the entire town, fire spread to entire building.
Two stories of the building were completely damaged in the fire, they said adding the other floor suffered partial damage.
The record and other equipment in the police station also suffered some damage due to fire and water.
