Train service remains suspended in Kashmir
Srinagar, Dec 20 : Train service remained suspended for security reasons for the second consecutive day on Wednesday in the Kashmir valley, where separatists had called for a general strike against killing of two people, including a woman, in alleged security force firing during the past three days.
Train service was suspended yesterday on Badgam-Srinagar in central Kashmir to Anantnag-Qazigund in south to Banihal in Jammu region following killing of two Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) militants in an encounter with security forces in Shopian.
However, service from Srinagar-Badgam in the central Kashmir to Baramulla in north operated normally. (UNI)
