Srinagar, Dec 22 : Jammu and Kashmir Police while continuing its drive against drug menace, has arrested a drug peddler and recovered about 08 kilograms of charas from his possession.
A police party laid a checking point in Qamarwari area during which about 08 kilograms of charas was recovered from a sumo bearing registration number JK05A-4325 driven by Mohammad Shafi Chopan son of Habib-ul-Lah Chopan resident of Devar Lolab.
A case FIR number 297/17 under section 8/20 NDPS has been registered and further investigation of the case is in progress. More arrests and recoveries are expected.
