Srinagar, Dec 26: Thousands of people on Tuesday participated in the funeral prayers of slain Jaish-e-Muhammad (JeM) commander, Noor Muhammad Tantray in Darganaie Gund village of Aripal tehsil in Pulwama district.
Reports said that funeral prayers were held for Tantray at a local ground as mourners were pouring in from various parts of the town. Adding that, the all entry and exit points were sealed besides heavy deployment of forces were put in place across the area. However, people defied the restrictions to reach slain militant’s native village.
Tantray was killed in a gunfight with government forces in Samboora village of Pampore township late Mondaynight. (PTK)
